The Foundation: Pune to Mumbai
Our journey started in the 1940s when Mr. Fakirchand Anand arrived in Pune and opened Alka Watch Company, a modest storefront built on trust and craftsmanship. By 1959, the legacy expanded into horological journalism when Mr. Ved Kumar Anand co-founded Trade Post in Mumbai, creating a vital bridge for the international watch and clock industry that remains a respected authority today.

The Manufacturing Evolution
The modern era of our business took shape in 1968 when Mr. Harish Anand founded Sparesman, a venture that quickly became one of India’s largest suppliers of watch components. This success fuelled a bold transition from trading to production
In 1976, we evolved into Anand Enterprises, establishing specialized manufacturing for watch crowns in Jamnagar under the brand Champion while sourcing high-grade components from horological hubs like Switzerland, France, and Hong Kong. This period of disciplined growth culminated in 2000 with the launch of our dedicated manufacturing unit in Daman. From this facility, we introduced Baywatch—a stylish, accessible brand that proved we could marry heritage quality with the vibrant energy of a younger generation.

With Mr. Vicky Anand joining in 2003, the business entered its most transformative phase of scale. Under the Anand Enterprises banner, we became a trusted OEM/ODM partner for major retail groups, extending our manufacturing partnerships to the UAE, Canada, Australia, and beyond.
